Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-07
Most sites greet you with a cookie banner because they are tracking you and the law makes them ask. We are not, so there is no banner. Here is the whole story, which is short.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Some last only for your visit, some persist between visits. We use as few as we can, and only where the site cannot work without them.
What We Set
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Security cookie (__cf_bm or similar) | Cloudflare | Tells humans from bots and protects the site from abuse | Session |
That is the list. It is strictly necessary, which under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive means it does not require your consent. We have no login and nothing to sell in this version of the site, so there is no auth cookie and no checkout cookie.
What We Do Not Set
We use PostHog to understand which pages people read, but it runs in cookieless mode (persistence: 'memory'). It counts anonymized page views within a single visit, then forgets you when the tab closes. No PostHog cookie touches your device.
We set no advertising trackers, no retargeting pixels, no social media cookies, and no persistent analytics identifiers. Because we set only the one strictly necessary cookie, this site shows no consent banner. None is required.
Your Control
You can block or delete cookies in your browser:
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions, Cookies and site data
If you block the Cloudflare security cookie, the site may challenge you more often to confirm you are human. Everything you came to read still works.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie, for example when accounts and payments arrive in a later version, we will update this page and the date above.
